Ann Mather

Ann was born in 1817 in Edgworth and her christening took place on January 1st, 1817 in Bolton conducted by Curate Thomas Brocklebank.¹²

Ann's father was Isaac Mather and her mother was Sarah Jackson. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Peter, Jacob, Peggy, Alice, Jane and Reuben. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 77 in September 1894 in Edgworth.³

- Only have a Bolton Christening record for Ann (abode Edgworth), and connot find on the census, so had proabbly married by 1841 (not George Dunn 11-Apr-1833 as only 16 then).
  
  29 July 1838, Ann Mather, daughter of Isaac Mather of Edgwoth, Weaver married John Nelson, a Shoe Maker.
