Abraham (Abram) Mather

Abraham, known as Abram, was born in September 1846 in Over Darwen and his baptism took place there on June 28th, 1847.¹²

Abram's father was Abraham Mather and his mother was Betty Knowles. His paternal grandparents were William (Will) Mather and Betty Beswick. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Knowles and Alice. He was the youngest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Eli, George and Millison. He died at the age of 10 in 1856 in Darwen.¹
