24 June 1777, Abraham married Hannad Dale at Manchester. Later, in Nov 1777, Thomas "son of Abraham and Hannah" was born and baptised in December at Ainsworth Presbyterian, and possibly lived at Height, Harwood.
In 1794, Abraham is listed as a Cotton Manufacturer in Scholes's Manchester and Salford Directory.

in 1777, Abraham and Hannah had their son Thomas baptised at Cockey Moor, living at Heigth (probably Height Farn), Harwood. This was the only Mather family to do so, although Jemeriah and Hannah and family are buried there.
