Frances' father was Abraham Mather and her mother was Hannah Dale.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Susanna (Susan) Smith. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Richard, Joseph, Sarah and Martha.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 42 on February 9th, 1827 in Manchester.  She was buried on February 11th, 1827 in Manchester.¹
