William was born in March 1917 in Reading.¹

Birth Notes

William's father was Richard Mann and his mother was Mary Pendlebury. His maternal grandparents were Albert Pendlebury and Catherine Dowd. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Clifford, Jack, Richard, Bernard, Bernard, Catherine, Iris and Mary. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died in March 1917 in Reading.¹
