James Pendlebury

James was born in 1813 in Tyldesley.¹ He died at the age of 61 on January 7th, 1874 in Bolton.²

- James was the son of William Pendlebury, a "twister".
  
  James liked the younger ladies. Both his wives were much younger than him, although both mature (29 and 26) when they married him (when he was aged 40 and 50).
  
  14 Aug 1863, Eliza Mather (Full), spinster of Little Bolton, daughter of Isaac Mather a weaver married James Pendlebury (Full), shopkeeper and widower of Little Bolton, son of William Pendlebury, a twister. Witnesses were Thomas Pearson; Margaret Ridyard.
  
  in 1861, 1863, and 1871 he was a Brewer and Shopkeeper, so probably did quite well for himself.
