Mary was born in 1845 in Breightmet and her baptism took place on July 6th, 1845 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1 2  Mary's father was James Lomax and her mother was Betty Mather.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Lomax and Mary Kenyon; her maternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Brabin. She had six brothers named Richard, John, Henry, James, Thomas and James.  She was the youngest of the seven children.  She died in September 1845.  Her burial was on September 28th, 1845.
