John Jones

John was born in 1821 in Denbighshire.¹

John's father was John Jones and his mother was Anne Hopley. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Ann Pritchard. He was an only child.

- In 1841, John (20) is with his parents John and Anne at Llangwyfan (2.5 miles North of Llangynhafal)
  
  John Jones must have married Anne about 1843. John may have married Anne Jones at Llandyrnog, St Tyrnog, Denbighshire North (C18/1/12), nearby to where they lived.
  
  1844-58 There are possible birth registrations at Llandyrnog for all 7 daughters, although there are many many births for Jones! They had no sons!
  
  In 1851, John and Anne are at Llangynhafal with 4 daughters, Anne, Sarah, Mary and Elizabeth. By 1851, only Elizabeth remained at home.
