William's father was Edward Jebb and his mother was Lydia Sherlock. His maternal grandparents were Richard Sherlock and Lily Whitehead. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Ronald, Richard, Mary, Lily and Patricia. He died at the age of 62 on May 16th, 2010 in Birkenhead.¹
