James Isherwood

James was born in 1825 in Edgworth and his baptism took place on April 24th, 1825 at St. Anne (Turton).¹

James' father was Ralph Isherwood and his mother was Jane (Jenny) Isherwood. His paternal grandparents were Henry Isherwood and Jane Holt; his maternal grandparents were William Isherwood and Margaret (Peggy) Haslam. He had three brothers and a sister, named Henry, Thomas, Ralph and Mary. He was the fourth oldest of the five children.
