Did wife Alice die and Giles remarry? It seems likely with dates of marriages and births. However, Alices's death is not indexed, and Giles must have moved to Lower Harwood (near Blackburn), so it could be another Giles.
27 Jan 1742, Giles Howarth of Lower Harwood and Dorothy Richardson of Blackburn were married at Blackburn. They had twin daughters the following year.
