Hannah Hodgkinson

Hannah was born on May 10th, 1749 in Newton in Makerfield and her baptism took place on May 21st, 1749 in St. Peter (Newton).¹

Hannah's father was John Hodgkinson and her mother was Elizabeth Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Hannah Rawlinson. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Henry, Thomas, Alice, Betty, Margaret, Mary, Peggy and Martha.  She was the oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 31 in February 1781 in Warrington.  She was buried on February 6th, 1781.
