Betty Hodgkinson

Betty was born on July 2nd, 1752 in Newton le Willows and her baptism took place on July 16th, 1752 in St. Peter (Newton).¹

Betty's father was John Hodgkinson and her mother was Elizabeth Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Hannah Rawlinson. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Henry, Thomas, Hannah, Alice, Margaret, Mary, Peggy and Martha.  She was the third oldest of the nine children.
