Alice Hodgkinson

Alice was born on September 15th, 1750 in Newton in Makerfield and her baptism took place on September 23rd, 1750 in St. Peter (Newton).¹

Alice's father was John Hodgkinson and her mother was Elizabeth Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Hannah Rawlinson. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Henry, Thomas, Hannah, Betty, Margaret, Mary, Peggy and Martha. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 89 on January 10th, 1840.
