Rebeccah was born on September 23rd, 1705 in Knaresborough.1  Rebeccah's father was John Grimshaw and her mother was Pheobe Cockshaw.  Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Grimshaw and Sarah Collier. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Jonathan, Jeremiah, David, Phebe, Tabitha and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named John and Hannah.
