John Grimshaw of Calverley
General Notes
John Grimshaw was the 4th and youngest son of Abraham and Sarah Grimshaw.
John married as his second wife Phoebe Culshaw. They had moved to Calverley by 1707 but were back in Rawdon by 1731. However, his grandson, Jonathan, was back in Calverley by no later than 1775.
In 1710 John Grimshaw of Yeadon and Jeremy Grimshaw of Guiseley, along with several other Quakers were prosecuted in the exchequer for Tithes, at the suite of William Wilson, Rector of Guiseley.
