Matthew's father was originaly thought to be Benjamin Gledhill, who was christened on 5-Jan-1760 in Almondbury. His father was also Benjamin (c.12-Nov-1730) and his father John Gledhill.
Another more likely possibility is Matthew is the son of Matthew and Susan, baptised March 1785. This Clothier family were from Berry Brow and used Highfield Independant. The age at death is also more consistant.
