Phyllis' father was Thomas Barlow Fletcher and her mother was Mary (Nellie) Ellen Watson. Her maternal grandparents were Charles Watson and Ellen Mather. She had two brothers and a sister, named Cyril, Kenneth and Edith. She died at the age of 85 on May 17th, 1995 in Quebec.²
