Cyril's father was Thomas Barlow Fletcher and his mother was Mary (Nellie) Ellen Watson. His maternal grandparents were Charles Watson and Ellen Mather. He had a brother and two sisters, named Kenneth, Phyllis and Edith. He died due to a medical problem, Meningitis, at the age of 3 in September 1910 in Bolton. His burial was on October 1st, 1910.²
