Jesse was born on June 22nd, 1835 in Clayton (Bradford) and his baptism took place there on June 22nd, 1835.¹²

Birth Notes

Jesse's father was Joseph Farnell and his mother was Mary Crosland. His maternal grandparents were Daniel Crosland and Mary Kinder. He had seven brothers and a sister, named George, William, Benjamin, Charles, Edwin, Enos, Joseph and Sophia. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 44 on November 18th, 1879 in Bradford.³
