James Fairhurst 
James was born in 1869 in Prescot.1 James' father was James Fairhurst and his mother was Anne Lewis. His maternal grandparents were Joseph Lewis and Elizabeth Williams. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, Louis, Peter, John, William, Mary, Elizabeth and Ann. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.-
