John was born in 1832 in Holt and his baptism took place on January 15th, 1832 in Wrexham.1 2  John's father was Thomas Eddowes and his mother was Martha Jones.  His paternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Elizabeth Jones. He had five brothers and a sister, named William, Thomas, James, Charles, Henry and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven known children.  He died at the age of 40 in January 1872 in Tonbridge.3 



John's family with Mary Ann Riley

‌John and Mary were married in a religious ceremony in September 1853 in Tunbridge Wells.3  They had a son and a daughter, named John and Elizabeth.  There are no more children.
