Edmund was with parents in Liverpool in 1891, but had left home by 1901. From the 1891 census it appears that Edmund was the son of John and Catherine. However, they only married that year, so must have been from an earlier marriege (or illegitimate).
In 1910, Edmund was a Fireman on the crew list of the Oronsa, aged 25.
Edmund served with the British Army in WW1 (discharded 11 Aug 1917).
