Elizabeth was born on October 12th, 1841 in Longwood and her baptism took place on October 12th, 1841 in Golcar.1 2  Elizabeth's father was John Eastwood and her mother was Martha Shaw.  Her paternal grandparents were Eli Eastwood and Nancy Garside. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Eli, William, Joseph, John, Mary and Hannah.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 73 in December 1914 in Huddersfield.3

‌Elizabeth and William were married in a religious ceremony on August 30th, 1862 in Huddersfield.4   They had four sons and three daughters, named Simeon, Eli, Joe, William, Emma, Sophia and Sarah.  The family line is yet to be completed.
