Susanna's father was James Cunliffe and her mother was Ellen (Nelly) Hill. She had three sisters named Betsy, Alice and Mary. She was the third oldest of the four children. She had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John, Daniel, William, Joseph, Joseph, Benjamin, Ellen, Sarah, Rachel and Ruth. She died at the age of 72 on January 15th, 1888 in Warrington.
