Ellen Cunliffe

Ellen was born on May 23rd, 1822 in Little Bolton and her baptism took place on September 14th, 1834 at St. Paul (Bury).^1 2

Ellen's father was James Cunliffe and her mother was Maria Hall. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John, Daniel, William, Joseph, Joseph, Benjamin, Sarah, Rachel and Ruth.  She was the oldest of the ten known children. She had four half-sisters named Betsy, Alice, Susanna and Mary.  She died at the age of 35 in December 1857 in Birtle.  She was buried on December 16th, 1857 at St. Paul (Bury).³
