Sarah was born in August 1806 in Huddersfield and her baptism took place there on August 18th, 1806.¹

Sarah's father was Ard Crosland and her mother was Phoebe Drake.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward Crosland and Hannah Mason. She had four brothers and two sisters, named George, Edward, David, John, Rhoda and Mason.  She was the second oldest of the seven known children.  She died at the age of 30 in February 1837 in Huddersfield.  She was buried on February 20th, 1837 in Highfield (Independent).²

‌Sarah and William were married in a religious ceremony in 1831 in Huddersfield.³   The family line is yet to be completed.
