William's father was William Campion and his mother was Ann Lewis.  His maternal grandparents were James Lewis and Bridget Nowland. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Isaac, James, John, Ann, Mary and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 74 on April 2nd, 1933 in Neston.  He was buried in April 1933 in Neston.²
