Margaret (Maggie) Burgess 
Margaret, known as Maggie, was born in 1867 in Atherton.1 Maggie's father was Joseph Burgess and her mother was Alice Nightingale. Her maternal grandparents were William Nightingale and Peggy (Margaret) Riding. She had three brothers and a sister, named Eliza, John, Joseph and Annie. She was the third oldest of the five children.-
