William Nightingale

William was born on October 24th, 1793 in Blackrod and his christening took place on November 24th, 1793 at St. Katherine (B'rod).^1 2

William's father was Humphrey Nightingale and his mother was Mary Hart.  His paternal grandparents were Humphrey Nightingale and Alice Nightingale. He had a brother and two sisters, named Robert, Susanna and Ann.  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 67 in June 1861 in Sharples.³
