Ann Nightingale

Ann was born on August 9th, 1791 in Blackrod and her christening took place on September 4th, 1791 at St. Katherine (B'rod).¹

Ann's father was Humphrey Nightingale and her mother was Mary Hart.  Her paternal grandparents were Humphrey Nightingale and Alice Nightingale. She had two brothers and a sister, named William, Robert and Susanna.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
