Minerva was born in March 1865 in Hayfield.1  Minerva's father was Benjamin Buckley and her mother was Eliza Bradburn.  Her paternal grandparents were Abner Buckley and Sarah Needham. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Abner, Cornelius, Isaac, Sarah and Mary.  She was the third oldest of the six children.
