Robert's father was John Booth and his mother was Alice Lomax. His maternal grandparents were James Lomax and Mary Taylor. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Josiah, John, Peter, Richard, James, Elizabeth and Alice. He was the fifth oldest of the eight children.

- Robert did NOT die an indant in Middleton. That is another John and Alice Booth family.

  25 June 1820 Robert (a spinner) may have married Mary Knowles. Another possibility is Mary Fogg, 11 Oct 1828. It is possibly the same Robert, as a spinner in both cases.
