Rachael was born in August 1830 in Aspull and her baptism took place on August 15th, 1830 at St. Katherine (B'rod).1 2  Rachael's father was Ralph Boardman and her mother was Alice Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Entwistle. She had two brothers named James and John.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died at the age of 80 on January 11th, 1911 in Victoria (Au).
