Anne was born in 1810 in Cheshire and her christening took place there on May 20th, 1810.1  Anne's father was George Batho and her mother was Martha Cartwright. She had four brothers and six sisters, named John, George, Henry, Charles, Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah, Eliza, Martha and Jane.  She was the third oldest of the eleven children.
