Alice Ashton

Alice was born in 1860 in Little Hulton.¹

Alice's father was William Ashton and her mother was Ann Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Joshua Grundy and Betty Mather. She had five brothers and three sisters, named James, Joshua, Jacob, Joseph, John, Sarah, Elizabeth and Ellen. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
