Originaly thought to be the son of William Alsop (a Calico Printer) and Elizabeth Berry, but revised to William and Mary of Brindle. Daniel's father was William Alsop, a Painter.
In 1840, Daniel Alsop, Weaver of full age and widower married Mary Nuttall. Both were from Halliwell.
In 1841, Daniel, a cotton weaver, and Mary Allsup (both 20) were at Shaw Street, East Bolton (534/13/13/091)
The only recorded Lancashire death for "Daniel Alsop" (after 1837) is in Leyland, Preston in 1837, aged 43. The death for "Daniel Allsop" in Eastern Bolton in 1868, aged 56 is more likely, but this Daniel Allsop married Mary Nuttall in 1840. That would make sence, since Sarah Ann died in 1839.
9 Nov 1840, Daniel Allsop (X) weaver, bachelor of Halliwell and son of William Allsop a printer married Mary Nuttall (X) or Halliwell, spinster, daughter of John Nuttall, a weaver.
In Oct 1844, when a Mary Allsop was bpatised (parents Daniel & Mary) the family were at Johnston's Bridge. This may be another family as birth not registered in East Bolton.
In 1851, Daniel and Mary (37 & 31) were at Shaw Street, Bolton.
Daniel and Mary had 7 children, but only son Daniel was alive and with them in 1861, and that son died, aged 5. All the other children died infants (i.e. in their first year).
