Sarah Allen

Sarah was born in July 1801 in Bolton and her christening took place on July 26th, 1801 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

Sarah's father was Joseph Allen and her mother was Sarah Carter. Her paternal grandparents were John Allen and Ellen Welsby. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Benjamin, Benjamin, William, Joseph, George, John, George, Elizabeth and Jane. She was the third oldest of the ten children.

General Notes
- In 1820, Sarah gave birth to an illegitimate daughter Elizabeth. Two years later, she married James Wallwork.
  
  James and Sarfah may have had more children at Radcliffe or Eccles, but not Deane.
