George Allen

George was born in June 1812 in Bolton and his baptism took place on June 7th, 1812 at St. Mary (Deane).¹

George's father was Joseph Allen and his mother was Sarah Carter.  His paternal grandparents were John Allen and Ellen Welsby. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, Benjamin, William, Joseph, John, George, Elizabeth, Sarah and Jane.  He was the third youngest of the ten children.  He died in June 1812 in Bolton.  He was buried on June 23rd, 1812 at St. Peter's (Bolton).²
