William C. Giddings 
William was born on January 11th, 1810 in Wayne, Ashtabula County, Ohio.1 William's father was Elisha Giddings and his mother was Philothea Fish. His paternal grandparents were Joshua Giddings and Submit Jones. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Anson, Joshua, Horace, Josiah, Elijah, Emery, Edwin, Seth, Sophia and Philothety. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He was adopted by Jonathan Tuttle & Zeriuah Giddings.General Notes
In April, 1813 his parents gave him to Jonathan Tuttle of Williamsfield. Mr. Tuttle adopted him and William lived with him until he was of age. 'History of Ashtabula County, Ohio' by Williams Brothers 1878, page 242.
