Anson Jones Giddings 
Anson was born on April 25th, 1804 in Canandaigua, New York, USA.1 Anson's father was Elisha Giddings and his mother was Philothea Fish. His paternal grandparents were Joshua Giddings and Submit Jones. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Joshua, Horace, William, Josiah, Elijah, Emery, Edwin, Seth, Sophia and Philothety. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 78 on October 8th, 1882 in Cherry Valley, Ashtabula County, Ohio. He was buried at the Hayes Cemetery, Wayne Township, Ohio.1 1 General Notes
In Anson's will he leaves all property to his wife Sarah and various amounts of money to: Francis NcDaniels, Florence Trech (?), Albert Giddings, William Giddings, Adelphina Moses, Eu(?)ina Munger, Lester Giddings, Charlotte Wilkins , Sophia Welch, Also money to the Theological Dept. of Oberline College and Talledega Institute in Alabama. All payable at his wife, Sarah S. decease.
