Thomas was born on July 21st, 1723 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut.1  Thomas' father was Thomas Giddings and his mother was Sarah Andrews.  His paternal grandparents were John Giddings and Sara Alcock; his maternal grandparents were Joseph (John) Andrews Sr and Sarah Ringe. He had four brothers and a sister, named Job, Joseph, Joshua, John and Sarah.  He was the second youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 66 on May 24th, 1790 in Hartland, Hartford County, Connecticut.  He was buried at the East Hartland Cemetery.1 1
