Job was born on October 8th, 1710 in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts.1   Job's father was Thomas Giddings and his mother was Sarah Andrews.  His paternal grandparents were John Giddings and Sara Alcock; his maternal grandparents were Joseph (John) Andrews Sr and Sarah Ringe. He had four brothers and a sister, named Joseph, Joshua, Thomas, John and Sarah.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 37 on May 25th, 1748 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut.1
