Elisabeth was born on December 25th, 1666 in Antwerp.1   Her godfather was Cornelius Govaerts and her godmother was Petronella Mortelmans. Elisabeth's father was Egididius BROERS  and her mother was Maria Crauwers .  Her paternal grandparents were Johannes Custers  and Francisca De Wit(te) . She had three brothers and three sisters, named Aegidius , Gerardus, Joannes , Cornelia, Maria and Barbara.  Elisabeth and Maria were twins.
