Cornelia was born on February 11th, 1664 in Antwerp.1   Her godfather was Jacobus Hendricx and her godmother was Cornelia Van Merksem. Cornelia's father was Egididius BROERS  and her mother was Maria Crauwers .  Her paternal grandparents were Johannes Custers  and Francisca De Wit(te) . She had three brothers and three sisters, named Aegidius , Gerardus, Joannes , Elisabeth, Maria and Barbara.
