Ida HENDRA 
Ida was born on September 26th, 1882 in StCleer, Cornwall, England.1 Ida's father was John HENDRA and her mother was Mary Jane ROWE. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas HENDRA and Mary BANDS; her maternal grandfather was William ROWE and her maternal grandmother is Ann BLAMEY. She had eight brothers and six sisters, named John Thomas, John, Nathanial Rowe, Thomas, Frederick, Alfred, Melville, William Benson, Mary, Martha, Emma, Louisa, Myrtle Victoria and Candace. She died at the age of 105 on January 13th, 1988 in Liskeard, Cornwall, England. She was buried in January 1988 in Efford, Plymouth, Devon.1 1 General Notes

Ida Hendra was born 26 Sep 1882 at St Cleer, Cornwall and was the daughter of John Hendra and Mary Jane (Rowe). She married a Cornishman, Daniel John Heard (always known as Jack) 3 Jun1908 at the Bible Christian Church at Liskeard, Cornwall. They had no children. The couple went to Canada to live for several years but returned to England about 1936 and had a bungalow at Billacombe, Plymouth. In the early 1950s they moved to Darite, near Liskeard, Cornwall. It was there that Jack died in the 1960s? Ida went to live in a residential home in Liskeard (Eventide Home). As the years went by she often said that she was ready to die and would like to go to sleep one night and then wake up in Heaven with Jack and that it was not fair that anyone should have to live so long. But she had to wait a long time as she lived to the ripe old age of 105. (She had six telegrams from the Queen) She died 13 Jan 1988 at Liskeard.
