Hector Edwin was born in 1886 in Landsborough.  Hector Edwin's father was Henry James ASTON and his mother was Mary CROWLE. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, William Henry, Charles, John, Frederick Thomas, Elizabeth, Emma, Mary Isabella, Lilly Florence and Ethal Florence.  He was the youngest of the eleven children.
