John Sligh

John was born on February 15th, 1769 in Oldhamstocks, EastLothian, Scotland.  John's father was David Sligh and his mother was Bettie Broun. He had six brothers and four sisters, named James, Patrick, David, William, Hall, Hall, Mary, Elizabeth , Elizabeth and Janet.  He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
