Margaret was born about 1857 in Marton, Lancashire, England. Margaret's father was Robert Singleton and her mother was Elizabeth Wilkinson. She had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Robert, Ann, Bridget, Agness and Ellen.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.  She died on September 6th, 1938 in St Pauls, Warton, Lancashire, England.
