William Renton 
William was born about 1825 in Midlothian, Scotland. William's father was William Renton and his mother was Marion Borrowman. His maternal grandparents were James Barrowman and Elizabeth Vallance. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, James, Thomas Borrowman, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Marjorie and Marion. He was the second youngest of the eight children.-
